The Canon P was manufactured starting in 1959. The camera's rangefinder is parallax-corrected and has a 1:1 ratio, meaning both eyes can remain open while photographing. Frames for 35mm, 50mm, and 100mm are visible in the viewfinder. The metal focal plane shutter can be set to a shutter speed between 1 second and 1/1000th of a second. The flash sync speed is 1/55th of a second. It has an M39 thread.
