This service applies to the development and optional digitization of an expired Super 8 film cartridge.

Please first select your film type:

Kodachrome: Development is exclusively as a black and white negative. Development in the original Kodachrome color process is no longer possible.

Chrome films (Agfa, Revue, etc.): These films are developed as a color positive. Due to age and the development process used, a strong color cast or significant color shifts are to be expected.

Then select your scan option: no scan, 2K (2048 × 1556), or 4K (4096 × 3072).

If digitizing, you can also choose between Standard Scan and Overscan.

After your order, you will receive an order number. Please write this clearly on the film or on the envelope in which you send us the film. This allows us to clearly assign your film to your order.

Processing time:
Developing expired Super 8 films is a special process and currently takes approx. 6 weeks.

Important note on expired film material:
Due to the age of the films, we cannot guarantee a specific development result or image quality. The age, storage, and condition of the film material can significantly affect the result. This may include strong color shifts, low or missing contrast, increased graininess, fogging, or a complete loss of image information.

Even with professional development, it can happen that no usable images are present on the film. In this case, the development service was nevertheless fully provided and will therefore not be refunded. If a scan was also booked and the developed film contains no images, only the price of the booked digitization will be refunded.

When booking a scan:
Scanning is done with lower contrast so that as much existing image information as possible is retained in the signal.

Two files are available for download: 2K/4K Apple QuickTime ProRes HQ at 25 fps and 1080p H.264/MPEG-4 at 25 fps.
