Inspected, serviced, and bought with confidence

We only sell cameras in good or very good optical condition. Each camera is individually inspected and tested before being added to our product range.

What every camera receives at a minimum

Every camera is inspected with professional measuring and testing equipment. Depending on the camera type, shutter speed testers, light boxes, and collimators are used, among other things, to precisely check the most important functions.

Additionally, we use test or dummy films to check film transport, winding, rewinding, frame spacing, and the general function of the camera. New light seals, minor calibrations, and fine adjustments are part of the standard program. Before being photographed and listed in the shop, every camera is also thoroughly cleaned externally.

Repairs and Overhauls

Some cameras require more than standard maintenance. In these cases, we carry out more extensive repairs or complete overhauls.

This can include partial or complete disassembly of the camera, cleaning of internal components, re-lubrication, and calibration of important mechanical assemblies. If a camera has been overhauled at this level, we usually indicate this in the respective product description.

What sets us apart?

  • Most cameras undergo maintenance and calibration before being sold. Depending on the model, this includes, for example, adjusting shutter speeds, calibrating the light meter, checking focus accuracy, and making other adjustments to ensure the camera operates within reasonable and practical tolerances.

Our aim is not just to check whether a camera "triggers" or "works," but whether it can actually be reliably used for photography.

  • We provide a 1-year warranty on every camera we sell – regardless of whether it has been inspected, serviced, or fully refurbished.

We stand behind our work and the cameras we sell. Should a defect covered by the warranty occur within the warranty period, we will ensure a quick and uncomplicated solution.

Of course, every analog camera is a technical product, some with decades of history. However, through our inspection, maintenance, and quality control processes, we can offer a level of assurance that is rarely found when purchasing from private sellers or with untested cameras.

  • Many used cameras are offered online as "working," "untested," or "seems to work" without any actual technical inspection. This can result in inaccurate shutter speeds, faulty light meters, film transport issues, or focusing errors – often leading to costly repairs shortly after purchase.

At Click & Surr, you therefore don't just pay for the camera itself. You also invest in the time, expertise, testing equipment, and maintenance work necessary to make a camera reliably ready for use.

  • We want you to enjoy using your camera from the very first film. That's why every camera is carefully checked, tested, and prepared by our team before it leaves our warehouse.

This way, you can buy with confidence – and focus on what matters: taking photos.
