Development and digitization of 16mm color negative film using the ECN-2 process. The film is developed and cleaned for digitization at a partner laboratory specializing in motion picture film. It is then digitized by us in 2K or 4K using a Filmfabriek HDS+ film scanner.

The digitization is performed using a Log profile to achieve the widest possible dynamic range for subsequent color correction and post-production. The footage is delivered digitally as Apple ProRes 422 HQ files.

How to order

1. Select the film length and desired scan resolution, then complete your order.

2. Carefully package your exposed film and be sure to include your order number. Alternatively, you can drop off the film in person with us and include your order number.

3. Upon receipt, the film will be forwarded to our development laboratory, where it will be developed and cleaned using the ECN-2 process.

4. We will then digitize the developed film at the selected resolution and make the ProRes 422 HQ files available to you as a download.

Important notes

• The order must be placed before sending or dropping off the film.

• Please include your order number with every shipment or personal drop-off so that we can clearly identify your film. 

• Separate orders are required for film with different scan settings. For example, if individual film rolls are to be digitized in 2K and others in 4K, they must be ordered separately and labeled accordingly.

• The digitization is performed using a Log profile. The footage is intended for subsequent color correction and is not delivered as a fully color-corrected film.

• This offer applies exclusively to color negative film suitable for the ECN-2 process.

• The purchase of film material is not included in the price.
